Submission on Human Rights (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Bill 2010
The HRLRC has made a submission to the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee Inquiry into the Human Rights (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Bill 2010 and the Human Rights (Parliamentary Scrutiny) (Consequential Provisions) Bill 2010. Notwithstanding gaps and deficiencies in the Government’s Human Rights Framework, the HRLRC welcomes the establishment of a Joint Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and supports the expeditious passage of the Bills.
