Submission: Realising the Right to Equality
This submission responds to the Modernisation of the Anti-Discrimination Act Discussion Paper (Discussion Paper)1 released by the Department of the Attorney-General and Justice in September 2017 regarding the modernisation of the Anti-Discrimination Act (the Act).
Strong protections from discrimination ensure that all Territorians are equally respected for who they are. They improve understanding and tolerance within the community to protect the welfare of all.
